Introducing "Mowbot" Mowbot is the first truly automatic lawnmower that takes the effort out of maintaining your lawn. Once your Mowbot is installed that's it, sit back, relax and let Mowbot do all the work. Mowbot is a quiet clean and reliable way of mowing your lawn without the weekly chore of doing it yourself. So if you work away or just can't manage the garden any more then this is ideal for you. Mowbot is a mulch mower, this means it cuts the grass very finely and puts the clippings back into the lawn. But this does not mean that you will see big lumps of grass or have to rake up afterwards. The Mowbot can be programmed to cut once, twice, three times or everyday if you want, so the clippings are so small you wont notice them. This is a much healthier way of maintaining your lawn then giving it a huge cut every couple of weeks. The grass clippings that go back into the lawn then provide nutrients in the ground to help grass grow green and healthy. Mowbot is powered by a lithium battery. Lithium batteries are lighter, more powerful and do not suffer from memory effect like normal lead batteries. Therefore the recharging of the battery is quicker and the life of the battery is longer. But don't worry about recharging - all models can be equipped with a 'garage' facility which means Mowbot will detect when it is low on battery power and will put itself away in its garage allowing itself to recharge. Mowbot will work around any obstacles on your lawn. To set up Mowbot a border wire is laid around the lawn and around any obstacles, such as a pond or central bed. Mowbot detects the wire and recognises it is the edge and will turn itself around. Mowbot also has a sensor attached to its cowling, so if it bumps into a tree, bike, child or dog on the grass it will just turn around and go the other way. Mowbot is waterproof. No need to worry if it rains, Mowbot and its charging house or 'garage' is fully waterproof, however it is never a good idea to mow in the wet and therefore Mowbot will put itself away if it starts to rain, rather than make a mess of the lawn. Mowbot is not just for small gardens. The different models of Mowbot are designed to cope with different type gardens. The range can cope with areas up to 5,000 square meters (1 1/4 Acres) and slopes of up to 30 degrees. Mowbot is easy to use. You do not need to be an 'IT wiz kid' or an 'electronic wizard' to use Mowbot. The setting up of the machine is the most difficult part, but Chapmans are more than happy to come out and set up the machine for you at an additional cost, depending on the size or complexity of the lawn.
